Hey y’all!

I’m Emily, emj for short. I am a part-time graphic designer at Ergon, Inc. in Flowood, MS. I recently graduated from Mississippi College with a bachelor degree in graphic design and a minor in English literature.

I am currently spreading my resume around and trying to find a full-time job. I absolutely love my job at Ergon, especially the people I work with, but I need a full-time job (benefits!). I need to move out of my parents’ house people! Can’t stay there forever. Plus, they live an hour away from Jackson/my job/most of my friends, and it’s very inconvenient. As soon as I find a job, I’m getting an apartment as close to work as possible… across the street if I can manage it. I LOVE the thought of being able to walk to work.

My spare time is spent jogging (a recent endeavor), looking for healthy-ish recipes to cook (I have an awesome iPhone app for this!), driving (to and from Vicksburg, Jackson, Clinton for job/friends/shopping/etc.), reading, sleeping, and hangin’ out with my bunny, Poe. As of right now Poe is the love of my life – she has my heart… even though she has chewed up everything I own… including my shoes… and I LOVE shoes… But I have accepted that while Poe is around, I have to keep shoes out of reach! The floor is no longer the biggest shelf in my room.

I also like to shop. I have recently gotten big into fashion and trends. My biggest thing right now is Vintage. Vests and ruffled collars and lace; I LOVE lace! Which, I guess, is convenient since it seems to be making a come-back.
