The Pegasus+ 28 Breathe

That, my friends, is my running shoe. The Nike Nike Air Pegasus+ 28 Breathe Women’s Running Shoe.

Originally, I had the LunarGlide+ 2 as my shoe, but I was mistaken… If you look them both up, they look a lot alike! My bad! In fact, they are almost exactly alike except for small changes in the outer design. And maybe the LunarGlides have a little more support.

Anyway.

I absolutely love these shoes! They are made for people with injuries and for those who like extra support.

I went to FleetFeet in Madison a couple weeks after I had started running. I had been running in Nike Shocks, and my ankle was hurting a little and I was getting blisters. Anyway, they set me up with this guy who measured my feet and watched me walk. I told him I had an ankle injury and needed extra support, so he brought out a couple options – Nike’s and New Balance. I tried the New Balance and they felt okay, but when I put my foot into the Nike’s it was like stepping into a cloud. They were so soft on the inside! I also loved the bright blue color. I was sold. He then told me I needed to get an insert to support my high arch so they don’t collapse. (Eek!) And I had to buy the awesome socks he had me put on to try the shoes on with. They were softer than the shoe! And they had little pad thingys on the heels to keep them from sliding into my shoe and giving me blisters!

When I got to the register I was expecting to pay at least $170, but I was pleasantly surprised that it only came out to $114. With the socks, inserts, and shoes, I think that was a pretty nice deal!

Anyway, I HIGHLY recommend anyone starting out running that they go to a store like FleetFeet and get professionally fitted for a running shoe. I haven’t had any ankle pain or blisters since I got them!

P.S. Here’s my socks! Balega Hidden Comfort

I totally love my lunarglide’s too! What time have you been running in the park.

I’ve been going between 6:30 and 7. I think I’m gonna start going closer to 7 though because it’s so hot. Do you go to the park?

I was going at 530 after work so I wouldn’t go home, but Loreal has gotten me to start going at 7am. I’ve been going to the park to run. Part of me wants to go tomorrow morning but I’m so tired bc I’ve gone 3 days this week.

Well I was gonna say we could go together, but 5:30 is way too hot (and I’m not home til 6 anyway) and I have to leave for work at 7am (which is too early for me to get up even if I didn’t have to, lol). If you’re tired you should take a break! Or do some strength training one day instead. If you keep running you’ll get burnt out.
